Rotary Club Rawalpindi
Rotary Club Rawalpindi organised Polio NID and Polio Awareness Walk at St. Mary's Academy, Lalazar, Rawalpindi Cantt. on Wednesday 17th October, 2012.
Principal Saint Mary's Academy Lalazar Mr. Patras Bhatti, Members of Rotary Club Rawalpindi DGE Rtn. Haji Iftikhar Ahmed, President Rtn. Nosherwan Khalil Khan, IPP Rtn. Khushnud-ul-Hassan, PE Rtn. Rashid Mashkoor, Rtn. Abdul Mannan Khan, Rtn. Khwaja Kamal Rafiq, Mr. Javed Ali Shah, Rtr. Prem Sagar, Staff of Saint Mary's Academy Lalazar, Students and Media Team of Express News Channel were present at the event.
Polio Drops were administered to more than 200 students less than 5 years of age by Principal Mr. Patras Bhatti, DGE Haji Iftikhar Ahmed, President Nosherwan Khalil Khan, All members of RC Rawalpindi, Staff and Polio Vaccination Team.
Polio flags were given to children of Saint Mary's Academy Lalazar along with Polio Caps. Wearing the caps, they were waving the flags and were very much excited. The Staff and children particiated in the Polio Eradication Awareness Walk.
Vote of thanks was offered by the School Principal Mr. Patras Bhatti. DGE Haji Iftikhar Ahmed in his speech said that he was thankful for everbody's partcipation towards spreading awareness about the eradication of Polio. The President Nosherwan Khalil Khan replied to the burning question about violence against volenteers who were active to eradicate polio in the country by saying that Religious Leaders had to play their role in convincing people how important it is to administer Polio Vaccine to innocent infants and children to save them from life long dissability.
